7. Typical mark formation:

 

A legal hallmark in the Serbia comprises three marks:

(i) A supplier’s mark – compulsory

(ii) A fineness mark – compulsory

(iii) An assay office mark – voluntary, for goods below the limit is compulsory

Example:

This combination is used for domestic goods:

 

supplier’s mark (domestic manufacturer) fineness mark appropriate national hallmark (indicating metal and fineness)

 

This combination is used for imported goods:

supplier’s mark (importer) fineness mark appropriate national hallmark (indicating metal and fineness)

 

8. Sponsor mark details:

The supplier’s/manufacturer’s mark is made in the form of a stamp consisting of two letters in Cyrillic or Latin, placed into one of the 56 prescribed shapes. Used by domestic producers.

The supplier’s/importer’s or manufacturer’s agent’s mark is made in the form of a stamp consisting of one numeral and one letter in Cyrillic or Latin, placed into one of the 56 prescribed shapes.

Assay office keep list of registered supplier’s marks in the central registry.
